INDIVIDUAL LIVING OPTIONS (ILO)
Live more independently at home
Solid Holistic Care offers Individual Living Options (ILO) supports across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens regions. We work with the Participant and their family to consider their needs and preferences, and design a flexible package of supports. Once established the living arrangement is closely monitored and fine-tuned.
We currently have capacity to provide ILO options either in one of our properties or within a participant’s home for Participant’s approved for a minimum 6 hours of daily supports. ILO is an alternative to traditional SIL arrangements in a shared group home and can be tailored to suit a vast array of goals and requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What funding options are available?
Individual Living Options are funded for eligible people by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Is ILO the same as SIL?
Both are NDIS housing options. However, SIL (Supported Independent Living) provides support for people living with a disability in one of our shared homes whilst ILO (Individual Living Options) is support for those who would prefer to live on their own.
How does the funding work?
ILO funding helps you receive tailored personal support in a home of your choosing. This is funding to help you create a structure of people around you to help you live more independently and achieve your goals. Some elements in an ILO funding agreement may be used to reduce a live-in support worker’s rent.
Who would ILO suit?
ILO is suitable for Participants aged over 18 years with moderate to high support needs who would prefer not to live in a group home or who need to move home due to life changes.
